LBHA Linn-Benton Housing Authority | LBHA Property Development The Linn-Benton Housing Authority provides contract property management services for affordable housing properties owned by private entities. Examples of managed properties include Clayton Meadows and Camas Commons. The Linn-Benton Housing Authority also develops affordable housing. The Housing Authority focuses on developing special needs housing for persons who are underserved by the open rental market. Examples of special needs housing developed by the Housing Authority include Cottage Creek and Cypress Gardens. Property Management Clayton Meadows The Linn-Benton Housing Authority manages Built in 2001, at 2080 SE Queen Ave, Albany, Clayton Meadows offers safe, secure, affordable housing to individual and couples 58 and over. It is a secure three-story building with elevators and has a peaceful, courtyard setting with walkways and garden areas behind the building. Each one or two bedroom unit has individually controlled electric heating and air conditioning, fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and disposal. There are laundry facilities on each floor. Handicap accessible units are available, and smoking is restricted to outside the building. Also provided is a large community room with a full kitchen. Small pets are welcome. Clayton Meadows is designed to be affordable for seniors with a limited or fixed income. Residents are required to sign a six-month lease. Damage deposit, application fee, and pet deposit (as applicable) are required. Rent includes water, sewer, and garbage. Residents pay their own electricity, telephone, internet service and television cable. Income is required for these units and Section 8 is accepted. Camas Commons The Linn-Benton Housing Authority manages Camas Commons is located at 53rd and SW Country Club Drive in Corvallis, Oregon. Cottage Creek is an example of the housing projects developed and managed by the Housing Authority. Cottage Creek consists of three two-bedroom cottages designed for individuals needing a live-in care provider, one eight-unit studio apartment for individuals with developmental disabilities, and one four-unit fully accessible apartment for seniors with mobility impairments. Built in 1998 and located in East Albany, 1&½ blocks from Pacific Blvd., near Eleanor Park. Cottage Creek is designed to serve elderly and disabled individuals only and features 12 studio apartments and 3 two-bedroom cottages. Each unit has a private patio or deck over-looking picturesque Periwinkle Creek. Cottages are equipped with washer/dryer hookups and the second bedroom is an upstairs loft. Eight of the studio units are located on the ground floor and are handicapped-adaptable. Each floor (4 units) shares a coin-operated washer and dryer and a common living/dining room for relaxation and conversation. Income is required for these units and Section 8 is accepted, and if using Section 8, all income requirements will be waived. . Cottage Creek was the recipient of the 1999 Governor's Livability Award and the 1999 Award of Excellence from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.
