View Place
River View Place will consist of 40 affordable, senior apartments above ground floor commercial space built on the old "Icehouse" site at Third and Calapooia in downtown Albany. The development includes on grade parking and outdoor seating areas. The site is just across the river from Bryant Park, three blocks from Monteith River Park and the Albany Senior Center, two blocks to the Post Office and Public Library, close to Albany General Hospital and downtown shopping and services. The residential development includes:

on the apartment size to view a sample floorplan) Apartments will be affordable to a range of household incomes from 30% to 60% of area median. Rents are projected from $249 (studio) to $565 (2 bedroom) per month. The entire building will be accessible and several apartments will have features designed for persons with disabilities. Construction began December 2007 and is expected to be completed by the winter of 2008. The total project cost is expected to be $6,051,667 (Please check back for future News Releases)
